We understand that plans can change, and we aim to provide flexible options for our trekkers while ensuring fair policies for all. Please read our detailed cancellation, refund, and booking terms before confirming your trek.

How to Request a Cancellation

1. Cancellation Policy

Cancellations before 25 days of trek start date

• Refund Options:
• 5% deduction of trek fee and the rest refunded in cash, OR
• 100% cash voucher valid for 1 year (any trek, any date), OR
• Transfer your booking to a friend (any trek, any date).

Cancellations between 24 and 15 days before trek start date

• Refund Options:
• 30% deduction of trek fee and the rest refunded in cash, OR
• 100% cash voucher for the same trek valid for 1 year, OR
• 85% cash voucher for any trek valid for 1 year, OR
• Transfer your booking to a friend.

Cancellations between 14 and 10 days before trek start date

• Refund Options:
• 50% deduction of trek fee and the rest refunded in cash, OR
• 80% cash voucher for the same trek valid for 1 year, ORq
• 70% cash voucher for any trek valid for 1 year, OR
• Book the same trek in the same season with another batch, OR
• Transfer your booking to a friend

Cancellations less than 9 days before trek start date

• Refund Options:
• No cash refund, OR
• 20% cash voucher for the same trek valid for 1 year, OR
• 10% cash voucher for any trek valid for 1 year, OR
• Transfer your booking to a friend (same trek, same date).

2. Rescheduling Policy

• First rescheduling: Allowed without extra charges (subject to availability).
• Second rescheduling: 20% of trek fee will be charged.
• If rescheduled trek costs more, the difference must be paid within 24 hours to confirm.
• If rescheduled trek costs less, the balance will be issued as a voucher (valid for 1 year).
• Once rescheduled, if you cancel later, no refund/voucher will be issued.

3. Force Majeure & Unforeseen Circumstances

If a trek is cancelled or suspended due to weather, natural calamities, government restrictions, political unrest, or any other reason beyond our control:

• We will issue a trek voucher for the full amount (minus trek insurance), valid for 1 year.
• Second rescheduling: 20% of trek fee will be charged.
• We may offer an alternate trek on the same date (subject to availability and feasibility).
• If you have opted for Tripophilia Shield (add-on protection), you can get a full refund of your trek fee in such cases.

4. Trek Again Policy

If you have to leave the trek midway due to altitude sickness, health issues, safety concerns, or any other genuine reason:

• You can come back and complete the same trek for free in the future (subject to batch availability).
• This does not apply if you were sent back for breaking trek rules, misconduct, drinking/smoking, or failing to meet the required fitness criteria.

5. Important Terms & Conditions

• Change of trek batch is subject to seat availability.
• When transferring your trek to a friend, they must meet mandatory eligibility criteria.
• If rescheduled trek costs more, the difference must be paid within 24 hours to confirm.
• Tripophilia reserves the right to modify/cancel policies without prior notice.
• Booking & Payment Terms.

• Verify all booking details (dates, documents) at the time of reservation.
• Payment must be made within the given timeline to confirm booking.
• Cash refunds are applicable only for cash payments. Payments via voucher, discount,
• promo code, or non-cash methods are non-refundable in cash.
• Refunds, if applicable, are processed within 15–30 working days.

• Voucher Terms:
• Vouchers are non-transferable.
• Cannot be combined with other offers.
• Valid for treks booked directly with Tripophilia in India.
• Use voucher with your registered phone number or email ID.
• All standard trek booking terms apply to vouchers.

• Itinerary Modifications
• Tripophilia may modify, shorten, or cancel a trek due to weather, transportation delays, health emergencies, or Force Majeure.

• If Tripophilia cancels before trek start:
• Choose an alternate trek/date.
• Get a credit voucher (valid for 1 year).
• Transfer to another trek (paying any price difference).
• If trek is abandoned after it starts, no cash refund or voucher will be issued.

6. Backpack Offloading Policy

• Cancelling offloading before trek start: Full refund minus 4% transaction charge.
• Cancelling offloading midway: No refund.
• Returning midway from trek: No refund for offloading amount.

7. Transport Policy

• Cancelling transport booking 72+ hrs before trek start: 96% refund.
• Cancelling less than 72 hrs before trek start: No refund.
• If trek is cancelled due to external factors before pickup: Full transport refund.
• Arriving late after vehicle departure: No refund; you must arrange your own transport.
• Evacuation: Extra vehicle cost will be borne by trekker.

8. Refund Timeline

Refunds (if applicable) will be processed within 5–6 working days.
